Finding books that aren't too easy or too hard using the "I-Pick" strategy.
When children read books that are too difficult, they can become frustrated, which impacts their comprehension. We want our students to enjoy reading, which is why it is important that they find books that interest them and are a "good-fit".

What does it mean to build "stamina"?
Students learn to build their stamina for independent work. We will teach students how to read and write on their own for extended periods, so they can become actively engaged in the reading and writing process.
